Why my PC is blocked (hangs) at insertion of SRAM card
Symptoms: Under Windows 9x/ME after insertion of SRAM card, PC is blocked (hangs). No reaction from mouse or keyboard. After removing of the card, PC continues working properly.
Solution: You need to replace the old version of CSMPR.VXD driver with the new one, which can be downloaded here.

To replace the driver, please do the following:

  1. Unpack the CSMPR.VXD driver from archive
  2. Copy it to C:\Windows\System directory
  3. Reboot the PC
  4. Insert the card and check that computer does not hang and the card is recognized
