Point Enablers for DOS

Point Enablers for DOS are designed especially for management tasks such as computer backup and restore, hard disk cloning and so on. Both: Norton Ghost and PowerQuest Drive Image are supported under MS-DOS and Windows 9x DOS.

In difference with full-featured PC Card Support software (such as APSoft CardWare, Point Enablers do not provide hot-swap or power management support. However, Point Enablers provide an advantage in disk space, memory requirements, load speed. In addition, our PCI Point Enablers are very cooperative with Computer BIOS. For example, loading of PCI USB 2.0 enabler should not disturb functionality of USB keyboard and mouse enabled by properly written USB BIOS.

All Point Enablers for DOS provide built-in support of mass-storage devices (such as Hard Disk and/or CD-ROM/DVD-ROM). No extra-drivers required, however all popular third-party drivers (such as Adaptec EZ-SCSI or Cypress Semiconductor Corporation DUSE 4.x) are supported.
